The holidays are approaching! Their thoughts and every year I need to get prepared awakens, with my beautiful bag of readings.
I love to read and love reading the paper (IPAD my dear, I'll never have), especially paperbacks. I annoy the leleganti and hard covers, often the book is a brick that I can not even slip it in my bags, to be able to resume as soon as possible. The paperback format is a dear friend, no airs and graces, is not offended if you crease a little, it hurts you with its sharp edges. During the year between home, work, blog and everything else I have very little time to read and me cavo con un paio di libri al mese..ma in estate, durante le vacanze specialmente, mi scateno!

I usually buy books online, as webstores have a huge catalogues, on http://www.amazon.co.uk/ , http://www.libreriauniversitaria.it/ (it is often the best price website for italian books) or http://www.bol.it/ . Of course I miss the traditional bookshop where you can wonder free, touch books and open them, so I also visit bookshops in the city centre during lunch time. Unfortunately here in Bologna I still haven't found a bookshop that groups all what is in my opinion fundamental for a bookshop, which is: - being veeeery very big, and comfortable;
- having a smart and "reader minded" way to expose books (I don't like the ones that organise books following the publishers' criteria);
- having a big choice of foreign literature in their original language (I love reading in English).
Here you have a list of my favourite bookshops in Bologna:
- Mondadori Mediastore, Via D'Azeglio; I like it because they're great in books disposal and I always find nice books whenever I go there. Unfortunately they've no choice of foreign books;
- Feltrinelli International, Via Zamboni: here you can find all foreign literature in Bologna. But, I must admit, their choice is not so large, I often have to book what I need since they do not have it in store. In this case, please, leave the shop and buy your book online: waiting time in the shop is really too long (more than 2 weeks sometimes);
- Feltrinelli Centrale, Piazza di Porta Ravegnana: maybe the bigger in town. But still, I'm not used to its diposal, that it's not immediate.
My favourite? It's in Milan. The RIZZOLI, down Galleria Vittorio Emanuele. There I bought the Ch@twin Guide to Sardinia. Do you now this guides collection? I like it very much, especially because you can directly interact in the next publishing, by sending them your opinion about places, things to do, where to stay..

Poi a volte mi manca il girare per una bella libreria fornita e quindi ci passo le pause pranzo per prendere qualche spunto, lasciarmi ispirare dall'esposizione. Qui a Bologna purtroppo non ho trovato una libreria che unisse tutte le caratteristiche per me essenziali per una libreria e cioè:
- essere grande grande grande! e confortevole;
- avere cura nell'esposizione dei libri, in modo che l'occhio venga catturato e sia facile distinguere fra le ultime uscite, i bestsellers, i classici (non amo le librerie che scelgono di esporre in base alla casa editrice, lo trovo indice di poca fantasia);
-avere una buona offerta anche di libri in lingua originale (adoro leggere in inglese).
Qui in città I have several choices, depending on the needs that I want to meet ... If I want to tease my eyes in search of new discoveries in Mediastore chosen Mondadori Via D'Azeglio. They are my compliments to the arrangement of books! I can almost always fall in love with something and leave with bags full of books. But they are really lacking with books in original language.
For those there 'Feltrinelli International, on Via Zamboni, good enough, even if the choice is very restricted, whereas a library should be composed entirely of books in their original language. Also, often my requests are not displayed in the store and then click order. Accettte not ever! I sometimes us are cascaded, because their insistence, and I ate my hands during the two weeks of waiting, when in fact anywhere I would have recovered for 3-4 days. Mea culpa. But I learned! Feltrinelli, under the two towers, is the largest and delivered by the Italian. But I still understand it, I never find anything without having to ask the staff (they are very very polite and helpful) and is so tortuous and tunnels that I can not define "comfortable".

Ch @ twin of Sardinia, my favorite holiday this summer. You know these guides? They are really good! And very, very elegant, it is not insignificant ...;-) are updated with opinions and advice of the tourists themselves, a point to their advantage in my opinion.
Among the summer you may have noticed my books "The Carrie Diaries " of Bushnell (I could not resist, I've already read), light romance, perfect umbrella, which tells of our beloved Carrie at the time of high school. I really liked the ending and the way it manages to tap into the real history of the girls. For the rest is just a great alternative to playing tennis.

The yellows are my other passion, and "The murderess invisible" to me very curious ... Penny is a classical situation of yellow, a murder in a closed room. It reminds me of my lovely Agatha, but also with his Poe story "double murder in the Rue Morgue."

not I was able to avoid buying (and reading it now) the book written by four hands and Lucas Camilleri " water in the mouth": I am a fan of Salvo Montalbano and the experiment has intrigued me. It 's a small book to be small, but pleasant, and the idea is judicious and they are funny and good at the interaction of the two inspectors.
" water in the mouth" is a short novel, written by two Italian crime Novelists: Andrea Camilleri and Carlo Lucarelli. I do not know much about Lucarelli, But I've read quite all books by Camilleri and I like HIM very much, Especially One Of His characters, Mr Salvo Montalbano.
" In the kitchen "by Monica Ali was a must for me, after reading" Brick Lane ". His story is fascinating and I love moltossimo the British literature of the English second generation. Their stories fascinate me, the two cultures (the Eastern and English) that collide and merge, the problems of recruiting, the fanstasma of colonialism. I approached this kind were at university, thanks to authors like Rushdie and Kureishi and I'm just passionate. Monica Ali (originally from Bangladesh) is very young but very good.
I could not miss " In The Kitchen" by Monica HAVING read Ali after her previous one, "Brick Lane". I really love the second generation witers Inglese: I love the way They merge the two different cultures, They explain how hard is "to be an Inglese", and the ghost of Imperialism. I found out this literature genre During university, thanks to writers Such as Rushdie or Kureishi, and loved it. Monica Ali (origins from Bangladesh) is very young But yet a very good writer.
" Brooklyn" by Colm Toibin book is my bet. I chose it once when I saw that it was a story of Irish immigrants in Brooklyn (I immediately thought of the masterpiece McCourt "Angela's Ashes or the beautiful" A tree grows in Brooklyn "by Betty Smith). New York fascinates me, fascinate me and the stories of immigrants in the '50s and '60s. I think that Brooklyn is a magical place. Just across a bridge and you will find yourselves in a completely different reality, with its own identity, its own history. ...
